School and Kindergartens course

In the Gaza Strip children under the 16 years of age comprise more than 50 percent of the total population. During the Intifada, they were subjected to arrests, physical and psychological torture, and to many other traumatic experiences. The Gazan children have also been affected by the harsh socio-economic conditions prevalent in the Gaza Strip.

If the mental health problems of these children are not dealt with early in their development, they are at risk later for more serious problems as teens and anti-social behaviors as adults.
