Around today's mid day, an unknown armed group kidnapped Mr. Husam El-Mosili, an Egyptian Diplomat working in the Egyptian Embassy in Gaza.
The kidnappers dragged the Diplomat to an unknown location. The kidnapers' identity and their political affiliation remains unknown.

GCMHP strongly condemns this act and demands for the immediate and unconditional release of Mr. El-Mosili.

GCMHP views this act damaging the historic and strategic Palestinian Egyptian relations and impacting the positive role that Egypt is playing in the unification of Palestinians as well as achieving the just rights of Palestinian people in establishing an independent Palestinian state.

We believe that this kidnapping will defame the Palestinian people's reputation and the interests of Palestinian people as a whole. We believe that some suspected groups stand behind it to shake the Palestinian internal security and upset the relations with our Egyptian brothers.

We demand the Palestinian Authority to take its responsibilty to release the Egyptian diplomat immediately, and to capture perpetrators and bring them to justice.
