GCMHP Holds a Training Course on "Principles of Community Mental Health"

In cooperation with El-Wedad Society for Social Rehabilitation, the Training and Research Department conducted a training course on "principles of community mental health" for the Society's staff.

The training that lasted for 3 weeks and took place in the Society's headquarter in Gaza was commenced by Dr. Hani Ghandour, student in GCMHP Diploma. Dr. Ghandour gave a lecture on concept of community mental health.

GCMHP professionals carried out the training that aimed to raise the professionals' awareness in many topics, including: introduction to mental health, clinical interview, social upbringing, parental awareness mechanisms, alternative means of punishment, behavior problems and how to deal with them, trauma and psychological pressures, anxiety disorders among children and adults, theories of mental intervention, psychosomatic therapy, moods disorders, and mechanisms of working in team.
