New Post Graduate Program in Community Mental Health

The Training and Research Department started the initial phase of the admission requirements to the Post Graduate Diploma in Community Mental Health. The English exam for this year was run by the British Council of Gaza. The 102 applicants have educational specialties in various fields including; social work, nursing, medicine, and social sciences. The admission phase includes written tests and interviews. Out of the total applicants, 15-20 will be accepted this year. The admitted applicants will commence their course work beginning of February 2007.

The post graduate diploma program is jointly run by GCMHP and the Islamic University of Gaza, with participation from seven regional and international universities.

The diploma program is run for 2 years, where students receive theoretical courses in community mental health in the first year, and practical experience in GCMHP's community centers in the second year.
