The Training and Research Department of GCMHP organized a workshop in cooperation with the Catholic Relief Society (CRS) aiming to conduct needs assessment for a number of civil society organizations in the Gaza Strip. The participants were 80 of the employees and volunteers of the six local organizations working in different parts of the Gaza Strip. The training was conducted at GCMHP's training hall at the main office.

At the training, Dr. Zead Awad and Dr. Yaser Abu Jamee'e steered the workshop of assessing the needs of the participants. The main aim of the assessment was to conduct a series of training courses entitled "development of skills of leaders in civil work" with 20 hours of training distributed geographically to different parts of Gaza Strip.

It is worth to mention that the ultimate aim of the workshop and the courses following is to contribute in preparing a new youth generation familiar with mental health as part of GCMHP's policy of spreading awareness and training for different groups in the community.
