Donors consortium signs agreement with GCMHP
![]() In a ceremony at Al Quds International Hotel in Gaza, delegates from Rehabilitation and Research Center for Torture Victims (RCT) in Denmark, the Dutch government and the Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC), representing GCMHP's major Donors' Consortium, have met to sign a joint agreement with GCMHP. The celebration was attended by Dr. Riyad Al Zanoun, Chairman of Board, General Director Dr. El-Sarraj, and Heads of Departments and Centers of GCMHP.
As a milestone in the process of implementing GCMHP's new strategic plan, through which the Programme will sharpen its profile in the field of counseling, advocacy, research, and capacity building, the consortium agreed on supporting GCMHP's work for the next three years until 2007. According to the new strategic plan, the Programme will concentrate more on strategic relations with local organizations, in order to provide quality services and reach more people in the community. The Programme will play a vital developmental role by promoting the abilities of local community organizations in the area of mental health and human rights through providing services as knowledge based institution for the whole community. As a non-profit and non-governmental organization, GCMHP is depending entirely on donations. So we thank the major donors as well as all small and individual donors for their help to enable us to fulfill our important role in the field of mental health and human rights in Gaza. |
