OBJECTIVES
Suggested Income Generating Projects
Both workshops will enable participants to learn new skills to start their own businesses. Also, it will be considered a way of retaining Palestinian culture and heritage by recreating unique examples of ancient mosaics found within the Gaza area. The Gazan market lacks such products and most items available to consumers are imported from other countries. These two projects will help the WEP generate income by selling products and also through collecting training fees, which will be paid by representatives of other organizations. It will be useful for other women who will be trained during the two courses to start their own projects. ![]() ![]() ![]() This outlet will be located at Rafah WEP center. Fresh flowers are mostly planted in the Rafah area, but there is currently no outlet in the area for arrangements of these flowers, and sales to customers. Currently, people from Rafah go to Khan Younis City for their needs. The idea of this small project came as a result of the need for such a service in the Rafah area. A woman participant will be trained in flower preservation and decoration. The location will be the basement of Rafah WEP center and promotional activities will be designed. This workshop will be designed to produce bride's dresses for hire. Many Palestinian women, because of economical hardship, cannot afford to buy expensive wedding dresses. An expert will be invited to run a training course for women participants. Other women from different organizations will be invited. The training course will be run for three months.
