Mousa complained of fear from being outside his home, especially at night. Also, he had sleep disturbances (nightmares and night terror), absentmindness, aggressiveness toward his classmates, poor concentration and poor academic achievement.

Mousa's complaints started after witnessing the murder of Mohammad EL Dura near Nitzarem settlement. He used to collect his pocket money to pay for transportation to reach the confrontation area to throw stones at the occupation troops. After the incident he avoided the area and trauma-related stimuli.

Mousa couldn't find the sufficient social support as he is the youngest child in a large family of 11 members. His father is 57 years old and is suffering from leukemia. His father used to receive chemotherapy in an Israeli hospital. However, he has been prevented from entering Israel for medical care after the outbreak of the Intifada.

DIAGNOSIS: PTSD

MANAGEMENT: Psycho-education and systematic desensitization

FOLLOW UP: Visits were conducted to Mousa's family and teachers at school. Symptoms of sleep disturbances were relieved after 2 months of the therapy. Mousa took Elatrol tablets (25 mg) 1/N one month only. The irritability and aggressiveness were partially relieved .
