"Child Development" Course Presented for First-Year Diploma Students

From 26 May - 6 June 2001, Dr. Jan Ter Laak from Utrecht University visited GCMHP to present the "Child Development" module in the Postgraduate Diploma in Community Mental Health and Human Rights. The local trainer was Mr. Mohammad El-Zeer. The course was presented to first year students of the diploma.

The main topics of the course were:

• Cognitive development: people and information processing.
• Social development: social learning and psychoanalytic perspectives.
• Behavioral development: attachment and psychoanalytic perspectives.
