Hanadi lives with her large family in a small apartment near the Preventive Security headquarters in Gaza city. Her father used to work as a laborer inside Israel, but he lost his job after the outbreak of Al-Aqsa Intifada.

Hanadi experiences panic attacks as a result of Israeli shelling. This is manifested with terror, palpitation, dyspnea, coldness of extremities and body shaking. In one instance, the shelling occurred while Hanadi was returning home from school, after that she started to avoid going school.

DIAGNOSIS: Acute Stress Disorder
MANAGEMENT: Play & draw therapy and Relaxation exercises
FOLLOW UP: Symptoms of panic attack relieved after 5 sessions. After 2 months of therapy, Hanadi is still reluctant to go to school. And therapy still continues.
