19 April 2007 GCMHP Host a Meeting of its Donor Consortium in Gaza
During the Last two days, GCMHP hosted a meeting for its Donor Consortium in its headquarter hall in Gaza. The delegation consisted of; Rehabilitation and Research Centre for Torture Victims (RCT), Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Palestinian Solidarity, Group (PGS)/ Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands, and Christlicher Friedensdienst (CFD). Board of Directors, Director General, Financial Director, and the senior staff, from GCMHP, attended the meetings that including presentations of administrative and financial reports of 2005-2006. In this term, Director General Deputy and Departments Directors presented analytical presentations about GCMHP’s annual reports and all its departments' general activities in the field of children, women, and human rights, as well as the audited financial reports of 2006. Moreover, they explained work obstacles they faced and the future adopted attitudes for the next strategic plan 2008-2010. In addition, GCMHP’s professionals accompanied the delegation in a number of field visits to GCMHP partners from governmental and non-governmental organization and beneficiaries who work in the fields of woman, children, human rights and the scientific researches. The delegation also, have conducted a meeting with the External Evaluators; Dr. Jomana Owda, Manager of The Happy Child Center and Mr. Essam Younis, Manager of Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights, and discussed their mid-term evaluation of GCMHP performance in implementing the strategic plan 2005-2007. The delegation expressed their appreciation to GCMHP for their efforts, and confirmed their commitment to continue their support to GCMHP in order to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian people especially in the recent difficult conditions. |
